Senior Manager, Strategic Analytics

With a growing company comes a growing team full of innovative people. The Senior Manager, Strategic Analytics will turn company data into clear business decisions while keeping our data-driven operating model accurate, current, and ready to inform the decisions leadership makes. This is an analytics-first leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable querying data, building intuitive self-service reporting, connecting operational results to financial outcomes, and advising executives on where to invest, improve, or change course.

You will partner across the organization to deepen understanding of our customers and business, establish trusted performance reporting, and translate operational and financial signals into compelling recommendations for short- and long-term growth.

Please note that this is a hybrid position of 4 days/week in our Los Angeles office.

What You'll Do

Analytics and Business Insight

  • Set the vision and roadmap for analytics, aligning priorities to company strategy and the most important decisions facing the business.
  • Build and lead a high-performing analytics function; coach team members, manage stakeholder intake, and prioritize work for impact.
  • Lead long-range and ad hoc analyses that uncover growth opportunities, risks, and business improvements, including customer retention and churn, purchase-path behavior, segmentation, marketing efficiency, and profitability.
  • Craft clear narratives, recommendations, and executive-ready presentations that translate complex findings into action.
  • Own and continuously improve the self-service analytics environment in Looker, ensuring teams have intuitive access to trusted metrics and reporting.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on how company data is defined, structured, and reported; establish shared KPI definitions and strong data-quality practices.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to identify new data sources, define warehouse and reporting requirements, and prioritize improvements.
  • Combine customer research and voice-of-customer data with behavioral and financial data to influence product, marketing, and operational priorities.
  • Identify practical opportunities for predictive analytics and advanced modeling, and guide the organization toward higher-value use cases.
  • Develop and report company-wide KPIs that give leaders timely, accurate, and actionable visibility into performance.
  • Bring a balanced point of view grounded in data, business context, and sound judgment.

Strategic Scope

  • Ground the data-driven financial model and the annual/quarterly planning cycle in accurate operational and customer data. Continually maintain and enhance the company's data-integrated financial model, keeping it current and decision-ready.
  • Review KPIs and connect operational drivers to financial outcomes
  • Quantify the value of strategic initiatives to inform prioritization and execution
  • Bring an analytical lens to margin trends, unit economics, and channel and product profitability, informing forecasting assumptions and growth targets
  • Monitor ongoing performance, surface material trends and variances, and recommend actions to improve outcomes. This role carries a comprehensive vantage point across the business - the visibility to spot where the next opportunity or risk sits.
  • Work with leaders across Marketing, Product, Operations, and Inventory/Physical Product to frame questions, evaluate tradeoffs, and allocate resources

What You Have

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, management consulting, strategic finance, or a similarly quantitative and strategic field.
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills
  • Advanced experience with a business intelligence and visualization platform such as Looker or Tableau.
  • Strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to connect customer, operational, and financial data to company strategy
  • Strong financial fluency - comfortable reading and reasoning about a P&L, margin structure, and unit economics
  • Deep understanding of DTC unit economics - customer LTV, payback timelines, CAC efficiency, and the levers that drive forward profitability in a DTC business
  • Experience leading complex projects and cross-functional initiatives from framing through recommendation and execution
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical or financial concepts to non-technical audiences and influence executive stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of data architecture and warehouse concepts, with experience partnering effectively with Data Engineering or BI teams
  • A high degree of ownership, integrity, attention to detail, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • A hands-on leadership style: willing to dig into the data while also setting direction, developing talent, and raising the quality of the team's work
