Mytra

Senior Financial Analyst

About Mytra:

We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.

About the role

We're hiring an Senior Financial Analyst to serve as a true business partner to functional leaders across the company, own Mytra's three-statement model, and drive the annual planning and budgeting process, and. You'll be the person who can answer — credibly and quickly — what a decision costs, what it returns, and what it does to the P&L, the balance sheet, and cash. You'll also partner with the CFO and lead the finance side of Mytra's cost reduction roadmap. This role reports to the Director of Finance. It's a high-leverage seat: the analytics you build will shape how Mytra plans its spend, drives down unit cost, and tells its story to the board.

What you’ll do:

  • Budgeting and planning. Run the annual planning cycle and quarterly reforecasts end-to-end. Build bottoms-up departmental budgets with each functional leader, roll them into the corporate plan, and manage the cadence that keeps the plan honest through the year.
  • Cost reductions. Own the finance side of Mytra's cost-down roadmap. Partner with hardware, supply chain, manufacturing, and deployment to identify, quantify, and track cost reduction initiatives — BOM redesigns, supplier negotiations, volume tiers, in-sourcing/out-sourcing decisions, and deployment labor productivity.
  • Business partnership. Be the finance partner to Mytra’s functional leaders. Sit in their staff meetings, understand their operating metrics, build the reporting they actually use, and push back when the numbers don't support the ask. Translate operating decisions into financial impact and financial constraints into operating clarity.
  • Three-statement model ownership. Build and maintain Mytra's integrated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow model. Keep it tied to actuals, drive the monthly variance commentary, and make it the single source of truth for forecasting, scenario planning, and board reporting. Own the assumptions, the structure, and the audit trail.
  • Accounting partnership and variance analysis. Work hand-in-hand with Mytra’s controller through the monthly close. Own the actual-to-forecast and actual-to-budget variance analysis across the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow — explain the drivers, not just the deltas. Partner on accruals, reclasses, and the chart of accounts changes needed to make reporting cleaner. Be the bridge between how accounting books the business and how FP&A plans it, so the two always reconcile.

Ideal Candidates

  • 4–8 years of progressive finance experience at a hardware company — robotics, automation, industrial equipment, semiconductor capital equipment, medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or consumer electronics
  • Hands-on experience driving cost reduction programs — BOM cost-downs, supplier negotiations, design-to-cost initiatives, and translating them into gross margin impact
  • Track record of partnering with non-finance leaders — particularly engineering, supply chain, and operations — and being trusted by them
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward shipping a useful answer over a perfect one
  • Ability to build Excel models that are clean, flexible, and trusted. Clear structure, auditable logic, well-labeled assumptions, and no surprises buried three tabs deep — the kind of model a non finance leader can open and follow without a walkthrough.

A Final Note:

If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t check every box. At Mytra, we build bots, but we hire humans. We value thoughtful challengers who communicate with clarity and respect, and we’re lifelong learners committed to getting better every day. We move fast, learn faster, and show up for each other under pressure. The best outcomes come from diverse perspectives working together to build something meaningful and built to last
