POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the ICHC Operations Director, the Operations Specialist provides specialized as well as general operational support through a variety of tasks. While not typically working with external customers or patients, this position is responsible for providing excellent internal customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Provides administrative and operational support in the delivery of effective and compliant healthcare services.
· Supports organizational compliance efforts through the tracking, monitoring, and maintenance of documentation required by federal, state, and regulatory agencies.
· Manages the provider credentialing and privileging process, including preparation of Health Board submissions and adherence to FTCA requirements.
· Coordinates workforce training activities, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and regulatory compliance.
· Manages provider and staff Continuing Education tracking, reporting, and reimbursement activities.
· Administers contract lifecycle management, including database maintenance, renewal tracking, and stakeholder notifications.
· Oversees asset management processes and maintain records necessary to meet federal inventory control and reporting requirements.
· Coordinates the development and production of comprehensive operational reporting for ICHC leadership, providing actionable data and insights to support organizational goals and performance management.
· Follows all policies and procedures and participates in risk management and quality assurance - quality improvement processes.
· Must comply with federal laws and regulations as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and HITECH.

EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma or FED
Preferred: Associate degree in healthcare administration, healthcare operations, business administration, or other relevant field
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: Three (3) years of experience in operations, compliance, project coordination, or a related field.
CERTIFICATES / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Preferred: BLS or CPR Pro Certification
