About the role:
As a Senior Hardware Designer, you will contribute to every stage of the development of telecommunications systems and electronic circuits: architecture, specifications, electrical schematics, bring-up, validation, and certification. You will also support the production, test development, and customer support teams.
What you'll do:
- Participate in defining the architecture and requirements of new products.
- Contribute to the design of new hardware products, from concept through mass production.
- Design electronic circuits and produce the associated electrical schematics.
- Oversee printed circuit board design, taking component placement, shielding, and heat dissipation into account.
- Lead the bring-up and debugging of new products.
- Oversee the certification of new products for safety, electromagnetic compatibility, shock, and vibration.
- Support new product introduction teams in test development and printed circuit board manufacturing.
- Manage the product lifecycle, including obsolescence management and hardware changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in digital and analog circuit development.
- Experience designing high-speed electronic circuits.
- Good command of both French and English, spoken and written; spoken French is required.
- Strong oscilloscope debugging skills, along with a high degree of autonomy and attention to detail.
Assets:
- Experience with RF signal analyzers and network analyzers.
- Knowledge of cellular technologies (GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G, etc.).
- Experience in RF design.
- Knowledge of VHDL, Python, and C.
