Now, we’re entering a new phase of growth and are looking for a NPI Buyer. This position is responsible for supporting sourcing strategy, procurement execution, and supplier management for new product introductions (NPI).

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support end-to-end NPI supply chain activities from supplier selection through production ramp including component sourcing, cost analysis and procurement execution.
  • Manage procurement of PCBAs, harnesses, long-lead electronic components and mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Own and maintain NPI supply chain data as the single source of truth (part status, timelines, supplier ownership).
  • Lead RFIs/RFQs, bid processes and supplier selection.
  • Serve as primary contact for engineering purchase requests managing through supplier placement.
  • Ensure purchasing aligns with project milestones and required lead times.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks early by supporting mitigation plans and dual sourcing strategies.
  • Oversee supplier and contract manufacturer relationships, including onboarding, qualification, compliance and performance management.
  • Maintain tools, reports, and dashboards to improve procurement visibility and efficiency.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to modernize purchasing and NPI execution.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or NPI environments.
  • Strong understanding of RFIs/RFQs, sourcing strategies, and supplier qualification.
  • Experience managing ECRs/ECOs and change control processes.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

 

Preferred

  • Experience with PCBAs, harnesses, electronics, and mechanical components.
  • Experience buying material for NPI programs.
  • ERP/MRP system (NetSuite preferred), inventory and parts management systems (NetSuite preferred).

 

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about regularly throughout the day and lift / carry up to 25 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment.

 

Work Environment

This position may have exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and non-climate-controlled environments. May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the environment. This is a fast-paced work environment and requires cross departmental collaboration with independent and team-based responsibilities.
