Summary

The Transportation and Logistics Manager is responsible for managing shipments from origin to final delivery across domestic and international transportation. This role owns freight execution, shipment visibility, customs coordination, and exception management across air, ocean, and ground transportation. The Logistics Manager ensures freight moves on time, compliantly, and cost-effectively, with clear visibility from factory to warehouse or customer.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage domestic and international shipments across air, ocean, ground, and parcel transportation
  • Select and quote appropriate shipping modes based on cost, transit time, and business priority
  • Communicate shipment methods, routing, and quantities at the PO level to vendors
  • Book freight, coordinate pickups, and ensure adherence to routing guides
  • Monitor and manage inter-vendor shipments, including vendor-to-vendor material movements
  • Track and trace shipments end to end, maintaining accurate ETAs and proactively communicating shipment risk
  • Own shipment exceptions through closure, including delays, damages, shortages, misroutes, claims, and documentation errors
  • Prepare, review, and manage shipping and import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, AWBs, ISFs, entries, and First Sale documentation
  • Partner with customs brokers to resolve clearance issues, holds, exams, discrepancies, and filing errors
  • Ensure compliance with import and export regulations, Incoterms, HTS classifications, duties, country-of-origin requirements, and regulatory changes
  • Monitor customs bonds, renewals, and import program requirements
  • Manage Duty Drawback activities in coordination with U.S. Customs
  • Review, reconcile, and approve freight invoices against approved quotes
  • Track freight spend, shipment performance, and logistics KPIs
  • Manage logistics claims and insurance recovery related to loss, damage, theft, or transit issues
  • Provide advance notification and coordination of inbound shipments prior to arrival
  • Work cross-functionally with Planning, Operations, Accounting, and Vendors to support inventory flow and timelines
  • Maintain shipment trackers and reporting tools
  • Drive continuous improvement in freight cost, transit time, visibility, and compliance
  • Research and support long-term freight and trade initiatives, including network optimization, customs programs, and FTZ opportunities

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of transportation experience, preferably including import experience from Asia
  • Working knowledge of air, ocean, ground, and parcel shipping
  • Experience booking freight and managing international shipments end to end
  • Working knowledge of customs processes and shipping documentation
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working in tracking and ERP systems
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines
  • High ownership, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between Rebel Athletic locations as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with customs brokers and resolving clearance issues
  • Experience with HTS classification, Incoterms, and duty optimization strategies
  • Experience supporting Duty Drawback or other trade compliance programs
  • Experience building logistics KPIs and reporting for leadership visibility
  • Familiarity with FTZ opportunities or long-term freight optimization initiatives


Compensation Range

 $75,000 - $80,000

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work schedule based in Carrollton, Texas
  • Full-time role with standard business hours and occasional additional time during peak periods
  • Primarily desk-based work involving prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
  • Frequent use of spreadsheets, systems, and multiple monitors
  • Requires strong attention to detail and sustained focus
  • Regular interaction with Supply Chain team members and cross-functional departments
