Accounting and Payroll Specialist


Position Summary

The Accounting & Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting Red E's accounting and payroll operations. This role focuses on accounts receivable management, payroll processing and administration, credit card reconciliation, month-end accounting support, customer account maintenance, and administrative coordination.

 

This role works collaboratively across departments to ensure financial and payroll processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, payment application, collections, customer refunds, and account maintenance.

• Monitor customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.

• Process and administer payroll, ensuring accurate and timely pay for team members.

• Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.

• Administer company credit card accounts, including reconciliations, expense coding, documentation collection, and policy compliance.

• Support monthly account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.

• Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding account inquiries, order status, and inventory availability.

• Provide administrative support and assist with operational and departmental needs.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and support efficient business operations.

• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard.

• Maintain accurate and organized work practices.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.

• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or related experience required.

• Experience using accounting software; QuickBooks Online experience preferred.

• Experience processing payroll and maintaining payroll records preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and business software applications.

• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional composure when working with sensitive payroll and financial information.

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and work ethic.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to take initiative and adapt in a dynamic environment.

• Experience with CRM systems is preferred.
