About the role

• Rock Salt Marketing is looking for an experienced SEO and client success professional to help grow our SEO team by extending our outstanding services to new clients as an SEO Account Manager and helping to train developing SEO specialists. In this role, you’ll manage a conservatively sized book of business, overseeing campaign strategy and execution for your clients and leading a small team of digital marketing specialists. What you'll do

• Manage a book of business of 15–20 clients, directing strategy, execution, client communication, and reporting
• Develop lasting relationships with your clients
• Successfully build and lead a small team of SEO specialists
• Provide in-depth analysis of SEO needs and campaign performance
• QA deliverables for completion, accuracy, and professionalism before client delivery
• Project manage the SEO-friendly development of new websites

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of agency SEO experience
• • Confidence in conducting research, strategizing, and executing onsite, off-site, and technical components of an SEO campaign
  • Experience managing campaigns in various industries, including for local businesses, service area businesses, and online retailers and service providers
• Experience and proficiency with client communication
• Strong project management capabilities
• • Time management proficiency
  • Very strong organization skills
  • Eye for details
• Expertise with SEO tools, including Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager
• Advanced competency with verbal and written communication
• Understanding of how other digital marketing channels interact with SEO strategy
• Successful team management experience preferred
• Familiarity with the following software preferred: Google Sheets, Looker Studio, Google Drive, ClickUp
• Basic functional knowledge of HTML/CSS preferred
