- Are comfortable working with HR systems, employee data, reporting and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Are proactive, organised and solutions-focused, with a willingness to learn and improve HR processes.
- Have a practical understanding of how effective HR support contributes to employee experience, business performance and compliance.
Extra points if you have:
- Experience in a professional services, financial services or corporate environment.
- Experience working across more than one office, business unit or region.
- Experience with HRIS platforms, onboarding workflows or employee data reporting.
- Experience with SETA, WSP and ATR submissions, Employment Equity reporting or similar HR compliance processes.
- Exposure to employee engagement, learning and development, wellness or culture initiatives.
Your role and responsibilities:
Among other tasks, your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the full recruitment and onboarding process, from job advertising and interviewing through to induction and new starter administration.
- Providing day-to-day HR guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, employee relations and people-related matters.
- Assisting with performance management, probation reviews, disciplinary, grievance and capability processes.
- Coordinating learning and development initiatives, training administration and employee engagement activities.
- Maintaining accurate HR records, employee data and documentation while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Producing HR reports and supporting payroll-related administration, employee lifecycle changes and process improvements.
- Supporting HR compliance, policy implementation, Employment Equity and other statutory reporting requirements where applicable.
- Contributing to HR projects, employee experience initiatives and continuous improvement across the HR function.
