Assistant Finance Manager

Role Overview

The Assistant Finance Manager will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with budgeting and financial analysis.

This position offers strong learning and growth opportunities for someone looking to build a long term career in finance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports and internal reporting packages
• Support variance analysis and identify trends in revenue and expenses
• Assist leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests

Accounting Support

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Assist with reconciliation of accounts and financial records
• Maintain organized financial documentation and records

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Support preparation of cash flow projections
• Help monitor financial performance against budget targets

Operational and Cross Functional Support

• Work with operations and leadership teams to support financial reporting needs
• Assist in gathering data for financial decision making
• Support process improvements within the finance function

Audit and Compliance

• Assist with preparation of documentation for audits
• Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with company policies
• Support internal control procedures and compliance requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 1 to 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or early career experience in accounting, finance, or consulting
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools or accounting systems
• Interest in pursuing CPA, CFA, or other professional certifications
