Community Growth Officer

SignWow is a VRS company specialising in BSL online interpreting services, empowering Deaf individuals to connect seamlessly with businesses and hearing individuals.

SignWow makes it simple for Deaf and hearing people to communicate in British Sign Language for calls, meetings appointments and everyday moments.

Job Title: Community Growth Officer
Salary: £35-£40k, dependant on experience
Location: Remote Home Working (with flexibility to attend team meetings and community/ company events)
Reports to: Head of Community Engagement

Role Overview 

The Community Growth Officer will be responsible for new customer revenue growth and customer retention. The role holder will increase community visibility, build effective customer relationships and attend community and industry events across the UK. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Individual customer growth across all available customer packages  
  • Meeting KPI’s in regard to new customers, revenue, event conversation rates and ROI. 
  • Representing SignWow at community and industry events across the UK. 
  • Track leads, conversions and engagement activity and report performance to the Head of Community Engagement.  
  • Responsible for building a strong presence in the Deaf community, through events, partnerships and outreach   
  • Supporting sales initiatives to hit or exceed revenue targets, analysing market trends and competitors’ offerings and identifying new customer opportunities 
  • Maintain successful strategies to increase customer retention and brand loyalty, working in collaboration with customer support team  
  • Manage and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers 
  • Collaborate with marketing and product team to align strategies 

Skills & Experience Required - Essential

  • Proven track record in a sales and customer support role 
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue 
  • Fluency in BSL is essential   
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills  
  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team and build strong working relationships 
  • A full UK driving license with access to your own transport 

Skills & Experience Required - Desirable

  • Experience working in the VRS industry
