Our Alexandria site (H1) is an urban micro-fulfilment centre less than 15 minutes from the Sydney CBD, built around an AutoStore robotic bin system and runs on our own WMS and Shipping Platform (SSP).

Role Overview:

As we accelerate our growth, we're hiring a Fulfilment Centre Manager to run and continuously improve our Alexandria fulfilment centre. This is a high-impact, hands-on role: you own inbound to outbound and everything in between, the site P&L, the safety of everyone who works in the building and the customer-facing outcomes that depend on all of it. You will get the most out of a highly automated site, operating robotic pick streams, protecting automation uptime and using labour where it earns the most. All while building a team that people want to stay in.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the day-to-day operational success and performance of the FC in Alexandria, with potential extension of responsibilities to further sites as they are launched.
• Be a safety champion. Own WHS at the site and our PCBU obligations. Lead risk assessment through our IOMP system, maintain compliance and embed a genuine safety-first culture.
• Be customer-obsessed. Define and maintain priorities within the FC that directly support merchant-facing outcomes, including dispatch-on-time, putaway SLA, stock transfer and replen prioritisation and exception handling in line with agreed SLAs
• Drive cost efficiency and improvement measures to improve cost to serve. 
• Own the performance of the AutoStore grid from port utilisation, stint productivity, bin presentation and the manual/robotic split that gets the day out the door.
• Hold our automation vendor accountable to their contracted response and availability SLAs, own the escalation path for grid and robot faults and make sure downtime is recovered without merchant impact
• Manage inbound flow through container and pallet scheduling, decanting and putaway throughput.
• Collaborate with our other FC Managers, operational excellence, product, engineering and commercial teams to provide operational insight that informs the SKUTOPIA WMS roadmap and our onboarding strategy
• Lead the team by living our company values, engaging and working to retain employees
• Own recruitment and rostering for all warehouse staff, casual and permanent. Building an engaging, thorough onboarding programme that gets new starters productive and safe quickly.
• Grow and mentor our Supervisors and Team Leads, working with the GM of Operations to give high-potential staff real development opportunities
• Plan and deliver peak BFCM and merchant campaign windows with labour, storage and dispatch capacity mapped well in advance of the volume arriving
• Work in partnership with senior leadership to drive the company's goal of environmental positivity by implementing best-in-class practices into the fulfillment centre

What we think you'll need:

• Strong experience in a fulfilment or warehouse operations leadership role, ideally in a high-growth environment, a 3PL, or with a large retailer
• Experience managing a warehouse workforce rostering, recruiting and retaining both casual and permanent staff
• Demonstrated Workplace Health & Safety ownership in a warehouse; conducting risk assessments, creating SOP’s, incident investigation and building a safety first culture
• Highly driven, hands-on, with the attitude to get stuff done, you must be a problem solver at heart.
• Comfort with data, able to read a dashboard, question a number and make the call
• Experience in eCommerce, 3PL or retail logistics is highly regarded
