A Day in the Life:

• Serve as a senior technical voice for a Drupal-based e-commerce platform, providing architectural guidance, reviewing code, and helping the team make sound technical decisions with less reliance on a single tech lead.
• Design, develop, and maintain Drupal and Drupal Commerce solutions, including site configuration, custom module development, catalog management, checkout flows, payment integrations, and order management functionality.
• Lead complex full-stack development across PHP, Drupal, front-end technologies, and MariaDB/MySQL, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, performant, and aligned with modern engineering practices.
• Define and champion AI-assisted and agentic development workflows by establishing tooling, prompt strategies, development processes, and best practices that help accelerate team delivery.
• Actively leverage AI tools to streamline tasks, improve the quality of your work, and share best practices with teammates while continuously seeking new ways to integrate AI into your everyday workflows
• Partner closely with engineering, marketing, merchandising, and sales teams to translate business needs into reliable e-commerce features and platform enhancements.
• Mentor engineers through pull request reviews, design discussions, troubleshooting support, and technical guidance that builds broader team capability over time.
• Optimize front-end and back-end performance to support increasing site traffic, transaction volume, and overall platform reliability.
• Build and integrate custom Drupal modules and third-party services to extend platform functionality and improve the customer and business user experience.
• Maintain high engineering standards through testing, secure coding practices, thoughtful code reviews, Git workflows, and continuous improvement of development processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack, including Drupal, PHP, front-end, database, integration, and commerce-related challenges.
• Stay current with Drupal, e-commerce, web security, performance, accessibility, cloud, and emerging AI development trends to help guide platform evolution.
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical production support and support occasional off-hours deployments when needed.
