Social Media Intern (CEO)

About the Role

Ready to build the voice, presence, and public narrative of a company operating at the intersection of fashion, culture, and AI? SPREEAI is looking for a highly creative, culturally fluent, and execution-minded Social Media Intern to lead content creation across the company’s social channels while also helping shape the digital presence of John Imah, CEO & Co-Founder. This is a high-visibility role for someone who understands how to create content that feels current, intelligent, visually sharp, and native to the internet — while still aligning with a premium brand.


This person will work directly with the CEO to capture moments across meetings, events, travel, speaking engagements, industry functions, and day-to-day leadership life, then translate those moments into content that resonates with Gen Z and millennial audiences across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, and other emerging platforms.

We are not looking for someone who simply posts content. We are looking for someone who can spot relevance early, shape narrative, understand taste, move quickly, and turn real moments into meaningful digital traction. This role requires strong creative instincts, excellent judgment, and the ability to operate with speed, discretion, and consistency.


What you'll do

  • CEO Content Capture & Personal Brand Support: Work directly with John Imah, CEO & Co-Founder, to capture and create content that builds his presence as a founder, operator, and voice in fashion-tech, AI, and culture. This includes filming and documenting moments across meetings, travel, events, press, day-in-the-life moments, behind-the-scenes footage, and key public appearances.
  • Multi-Platform Social Management: Help manage and grow SPREEAI’s social presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, and other relevant platforms. Tailor content and tone to each channel while ensuring consistency in brand quality, relevance, and positioning.
  • Content Creation & Storytelling: Brainstorm, script, film, edit, and publish compelling short-form and long-form content. This includes TikToks, Reels, Shorts, founder-led videos, event recaps, behind-the-scenes content, thought leadership clips, trend-driven concepts, and polished social assets designed to stop the scroll and strengthen the brand.
  • Event & In-Person Support: Support the CEO at events, dinners, conferences, speaking engagements, shoots, brand functions, and high-priority meetings by capturing content in real time and identifying moments that can be translated into social assets. You should know how to move quickly, stay organized, and create content without disrupting the moment.
  • Trend Spotting & Cultural Relevance: Stay deeply plugged into internet culture, platform behavior, creator trends, emerging formats, and evolving audience preferences. Bring forward ideas that feel timely and platform-native, while knowing how to adapt trends in a way that still feels elevated and on-brand for SPREEAI and the CEO.
  • Content Calendar & Editorial Planning: Build and maintain a thoughtful, agile content calendar across both company and founder channels. Plan ahead around launches, announcements, events, brand moments, travel, speaking opportunities, product news, and relevant cultural moments while still leaving room for reactive content.
  • Community Engagement & Social Listening: Monitor comments, DMs, mentions, and conversations around the brand and the CEO. Help identify what the audience is responding to, what questions are surfacing, and what themes should be turned into future content. Strong instincts around community, tone, and timing matter here.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, partnerships, design, PR, and other internal teams to make sure social content supports larger company goals. This role should help connect what is happening across the business to what should be communicated publicly.
  • Analytics & Optimization: Track performance across platforms and help translate data into smarter creative decisions. Measure what is actually moving — reach, saves, shares, engagement, follower growth, watch time, conversion signals, and content resonance — then refine strategy accordingly.


Qualifications

  • Social and Content Native: You deeply understand platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Threads — not just as a user, but as someone who understands what performs, why it performs, and how audience behavior differs across platforms.
  • Excellent Creative Instincts: You know how to turn a raw moment into compelling content. You have strong taste, a sharp eye, and a real understanding of pacing, storytelling, framing, captions, hooks, and editing.
  • Founder/Executive Presence Awareness: You understand the difference between brand content and executive content. You know how to make a CEO feel relevant, aspirational, intelligent, and culturally in touch — without forcing it.
  • Strong Writer and Storyteller: You can write in a way that feels polished, current, and clear. Whether it is a caption, content concept, post copy, or a talking point, you know how to communicate with precision and tone.
  • Fast, Organized, and Proactive: You move quickly, think ahead, and do not need to be managed closely. You know how to capture content, organize assets, edit efficiently, and keep momentum moving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable in High-Visibility Environments: You are confident supporting at events, around executives, in public settings, and in moments where discretion, composure, and professionalism matter.
  • Culturally Fluent: You have a strong pulse on Gen Z and millennial culture, internet behavior, fashion, media, and what feels relevant right now. You understand how to make content feel current without making it feel cheap.
  • Data Aware: You appreciate that good social strategy is both creative and analytical. You use performance signals to sharpen decisions, not just validate them after the fact.
  • Passion for Fashion, Tech, and Culture: You are excited by the intersection of innovation, aesthetics, branding, and influence. You understand why SPREEAI sits in a unique category and why that creates real storytelling opportunity.

This internship is designed to provide a meaningful learning experience in social media strategy, content development, and brand storytelling within a high-growth startup environment.


SPREEAI is happy to support students seeking academic credit for this internship. The company will work with the intern and their accredited educational institution to fulfill any requirements necessary for course credit, including documentation, evaluations, or learning objectives as required by the program.
