Stellar Virtual was founded in 2019 with one school in Texas. We serve parents of K-12 students, unhappy with their current school or need an at-home/flexible learning environment. Today, Stellar Virtual has grown to six schools across three states: Texas, Arizona, and Indiana. Stellar Virtual is committed to going above and beyond for our virtual families.

Position Overview
As an Elementary Teacher, Grades 3-5, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education to elementary school students. You will implement innovative instructional strategies, foster student growth and development, maintain effective classroom management, and facilitate open communication with students, parents, and colleagues. Your commitment to data-driven practices and your ability to create a supportive online learning environment will contribute significantly to our students' achievements.
Essential Duties
- Deliver direct instruction lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Assess student learning styles and adapt instructional activities accordingly.
- Conduct regular office hours and provide individual/group tutoring as needed.
- Collaborate with Special Education Teachers to modify curricula for students with Individual Education Plans (IEP).
- Work with colleagues to establish instructional goals and methods according to school requirements.
- Assess student achievement and state-testing readiness through various assessments.
- Utilize student skills, values, and interest surveys to promote individualized instruction.
- Serve as a positive role model, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Create an engaging online classroom conducive to learning and students' development.
- Manage student behavior according to the Student Code of Conduct.
- Maintain accurate records and files as required.
- Foster professional relationships and open communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
- Monitor student attendance, course progress, and engagement, coordinating interventions when necessary.
- Establish regular communication patterns with students and families through various channels.
- Participate in staff development activities to enhance job-related skills.
- Engage in faculty meetings, peer learning communities, and staff committees.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
- Passion for student success and putting students first.
- Proficiency in the assigned core academic subject.
- Commitment to data-driven instructional practices.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience.
- Experience using student information systems and other databases.
- Proficiency in Zoom, Google Workspace, PEIMS, LMS, MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
- Successful completion of a required background check.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- An active and valid state teaching certificate with required endorsements.
