Stellar Virtual does not currently provide all employees or contractors with the necessary equipment (i.e., computers, internet service, telephone, home office setup, etc.) required for employment. Position Overview
Stellar Virtual is seeking a dedicated and innovative Secondary Music Teacher to join our fully remote educational team. The ideal candidate will hold a Texas teaching certification and possess a passion for music education, fostering creativity, and engaging students in a virtual learning environment. This position involves delivering high-quality music instruction to students in grades 6-12, designing curriculum, and utilizing technology to enhance the learning experience.

This position is for the current school year, 2024-2025. Future hiring efforts for 2025-2026 will be posted separately when those roles are available.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum for secondary students, aligned with Texas state standards.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging virtual music lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilize a variety of digital tools and platforms to create interactive and immersive learning experiences.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to promote musical growth and development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Organize and conduct virtual performances, showcases, and other music-related events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
  • Adhere to school policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
  • Proven experience in teaching music at the secondary level, preferably in a virtual setting.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and performance techniques.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and educational technology platforms.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in a virtual learning environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate home office setup.

Education & Certification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field.
  • Valid Texas teaching certification in Music (grades 6-12).
