Stellar Virtual was founded in 2019 with one school in Texas. We serve parents of K-12 students, unhappy with their current school or need an at-home/flexible learning environment. Today, Stellar Virtual has grown to six schools across three states: Texas, Arizona, and Indiana. Stellar Virtual is committed to going above and beyond for our virtual families.

Position Overview
Stellar Virtual is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Teacher for American Sign Language electives who holds a valid American Sign Language Texas Educator Certification. This fully remote position involves delivering high-quality American Sign Language instruction to middle and high school students, fostering a dynamic and engaging virtual learning environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Instructional Delivery:
- Design and implement engaging and interactive American Sign Language lessons for secondary students.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Integrate technology effectively to enhance learning in a virtual setting.
- Curriculum Development:
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials aligned with state standards and educational best practices.
- Create and administer assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Student Engagement:
- Foster a supportive and inclusive online classroom environment that encourages student participation and interaction.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their American Sign Language acquisition and academic growth.
- Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and address any concerns.
- Participate in virtual meetings, professional development sessions, and collaborative planning with the teaching team.
- Record Keeping:
- Keep accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by the school administration.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- Proficiency in using educational technology and virtual learning platforms.
- Strong command of American Sign Language and a deep understanding of American Sign Language Culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging online learning environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Education & Certification Requirements
- An active and valid American Sign Language Texas Educator Certification.
