Stellar Virtual was founded in 2019 with one school in Texas. We serve parents of K-12 students, unhappy with their current school, or needing an at-home/flexible learning environment. Today, Stellar Virtual has grown to six schools across three states: Texas, Arizona, and Indiana. Stellar Virtual is committed to going above and beyond for our virtual families.

Technology Aspect

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role will focus on managing and improving our procurement processes for IT, operations, and academic needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing, vendor management, contract review, and supporting strategic projects. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and can handle a variety of responsibilities with minimal direction. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • One Number: 100% of contracts tracked for renewals
  • Lead procurement activities for IT, operations, and academic needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchases.
  • Review, analyze, and maintain contracts, including entry into vendor logs and systems.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to document requirements and assist in preparing purchase justifications and business cases.
  • Facilitate vendor communication, follow-ups, and assist in negotiations to secure optimal terms.
  • Support strategic initiatives through ad hoc reporting and analysis of procurement data.
  • Act as a resource for identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving procurement processes.
  • Manage procurement processes from request to delivery, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Conduct market research to identify and evaluate vendors, suppliers, and pricing options.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and finalizing procurement contracts in collaboration with legal and finance teams.
  • Track and monitor vendor performance, resolving issues and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and dashboards for strategic analysis and project updates.
  • Collaborate with AP to ensure that vendors are paid accurately and timely.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
  • Proficient in project management with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail, organization, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.


Education & Certification Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required for all positions.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Relevant work experience in procurement, purchasing, or contract management may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Certification in procurement, such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or similar, is a plus.
