Maleza is a Mexico City Kitchen & Mezcal Bar located in the heart of Palm Springs, where bold flavors, vibrant cocktails, and genuine hospitality come together to create an unforgettable guest experience. Inspired by the energy and evolution of Mexico City cuisine, Maleza is more than a restaurant—it's a gathering place for locals, travelers, and food lovers alike.

We're looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead our team, drive operational excellence, and continue building a culture rooted in hospitality, accountability, and fun.

What You'll Do

• Lead all front-of-house operations and overall restaurant performance
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of hospitality professionals
• Drive guest satisfaction and create an exceptional service culture
• Manage staffing, scheduling, labor controls, and daily operations
• Oversee restaurant financial performance, including sales, labor, and operating expenses
• Ensure consistent execution of service standards and company expectations
• Partner closely with the Executive Chef to deliver a seamless guest experience
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings, training, and coaching initiatives
• Monitor guest feedback and online reviews and implement improvement plans when needed
• Maintain compliance with food safety, alcohol service, labor, and company standards
• Support local marketing initiatives and foster relationships within the Palm Springs community

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of restaurant management experience
• Previous General Manager experience preferred
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Experience managing labor, scheduling, and restaurant financial performance
• Ability to build culture, hold teams accountable, and inspire performance
• Strong guest service and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in high-volume, full-service restaurant environments
• Knowledge of bar operations and beverage programs preferred
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
