Golf Community Manager

About Turtlebox Audio

The first Turtlebox was born out of necessity. After breaking every “loud” product on the market through routine outdoor use, the idea of the Turtlebox was born in our garage, not as a business but just for personal use. Nothing else could get the job done.

Most portable speakers aren’t actually meant for the outdoors and can’t withstand the elements, the ones that can aren’t loud enough to be heard. When you’re at the beach or on an ATV, you need sound to carry in order to hear it over the wind, waves, and boat engines, you need a Turtlebox.

We soon realized that there was a huge need for the Turtlebox among likeminded adventurers and our journey began to set out to make the world’s loudest most rugged outdoor portable speaker.

About the Role

As the Golf Community Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting our golf community while reporting to the Senior Sports Marketing Manager in Houston, Texas. Think of yourself as a politician for the Turtlebox party, shaking hands, kissing babies and spreading the good word of quality, outdoor audio. Your primary constituents are everybody from Scottie Scheffler, premiere courses, tournaments and brand partners down to the local par 3 course. And in order to build community with these folks you’ll need to walk alongside them. That could mean a strike mission to College Station for a turkey hunt video shoot with Chandler Phillips. From there you might fly to Augusta for the Masters, where you’ll organize and throw a house party with our brand partners, then off to Michigan for another PGA Tournament. You’re a capable and competent golfer (bonus points if you’re scratch), and even more importantly - you’re a people person with a magnetic personality. Your job is to drive relevance for Turtlebox in the golf industry. All the while turning over stones and finding the next young phenom golfer to represent our brand, setting us deeper into the community you serve and tapping on those folks when we have a new product launch or content idea. It’s life on the road with many twists and turns so be ready to live out of a duffel bag for a good portion of the year, and make sure you have a bomber golf travel bag - you’re going to be using it. If all of this genuinely resonates with you, please send our team a message and attach your resume. We look forward to hearing from you!
