The Senior Operations Manager provides executive-level operational leadership and strategic governance across Veridian Service Partners’ field operations, ensuring multi-site projects exceed performance metrics, profit targets, and safety standards. Acting as a critical operational driver, this role bridges executive strategy with multi-market execution—directing field management, scaling infrastructure, and optimizing labor, material, and capital resource allocation. The Senior Operations Manager owns performance outcomes across multiple service lines and regional locations, elevating operational excellence, client retention, and organizational margin expansion.


This position serves as an enterprise catalyst designed to scale Veridian’s growing outdoor services portfolio, leading the operational integration, M&A onboarding, and performance alignment of newly acquired business units and expanding markets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Operations & Scaling: Direct and mentor Operations Managers, Field Managers, and Project Managers across multiple regions, establishing accountability frameworks and aligning execution with enterprise growth goals.
  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence: Design, implement, and govern standardized, enterprise-wide production frameworks and logistics strategies to maximize operating efficiency and asset utilization.
  • P&L & Financial Management: Own operational P&L performance for assigned markets; collaborate with executive leadership to build annual operating budgets, manage capital expenditures, and execute cost-optimization strategies.
  • Safety, Compliance & Governance: Serve as the final authority on operational compliance, establishing rigorous health, safety, environmental, and quality assurance protocols to maintain an industry-leading safety record across all field teams.
  • Metrics & Business Intelligence: Establish, monitor, and analyze company-wide operational KPIs and trends; leverage data-driven insights to execute complex process transformations and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma).
  • Resource Optimization: Lead multi-market labor, material, and forecasting in partnership with appropriate leadership.
  • Cross-Functional & Enterprise Alignment: Partner closely with appropriate teams to align enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, manage change, and standardize systems across acquired entities.
  • Talent Development & Leadership Succession: Build high-performing operational leadership pipelines; lead recruitment, onboarding, and structured career path development for managers and key field leaders.
  • Culture & Organizational Governance: Drive Veridian’s core values by instilling a high-accountability, safety-first, and innovation-driven culture across all regional teams and newly integrated service lines.


Qualifications & Core Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive operations and production leadership experience, with at least 3+ years in a multi-site or regional role within construction, trades, commercial, or outdoor services industries.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing managers (e.g., supervising Operations Managers, Field Managers, and Project Managers) across multi-market networks.
  • Full P&L responsibility experience with a proven track record of driving margin expansion, managing multi-million-dollar operational budgets, and controlling capital expenses.
  • Proven experience managing operational integrations and rapidly scaling multi-site field teams.
  • Mastery of OSHA, DOT, and industry-specific regulatory compliance standards.
  • Excellent executive presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across regional sites as required.


Physical Requirements/Work Environment: 

  • Regularly visits field sites and outdoor job environments.
  • May involve walking, standing, and inspecting active work areas.
  • Requires occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and exposure to variable weather conditions.
  • Frequent travel between locations may be required.
