Willow Wealth

Investments Analyst, Private Markets

About Willow Wealth

Willow Wealth is a leading private markets investment platform. We believe that private markets investment products should be a fundamental part of your portfolio. That’s why we’re expanding access to make it easier to get started. We partner with experienced investment managers to provide investors with a wide range of opportunities across real estate, venture capital, private equity, art, short-term notes, and more. All of our offerings are curated and vetted by our team to help investors diversify away from the stock market.

About the Role

The Investments Analyst will support sourcing, screening, diligence, selection, and monitoring of opportunities across key areas of the platform: direct investments in private real estate debt; direct investments in private credit (asset-backed, specialty finance, and other niche strategies but not direct lending), co-investments in growth equity and other strategies; and third-party alternative investment funds (various private market and hedge fund strategies). Rather than a narrow single-strategy seat, this is a highly cross-functional role suited to someone who wants broad exposure to private markets and employ a diverse skill set across direct single asset investing, co-investments, and allocating to third party funds. This candidate will be expected to have demonstrated the ability to improve their own workflows using AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Private Real Estate Debt (Direct, Single Asset)
    • Assist in sourcing and underwriting investment firms who show single asset deals to the firm
    • Assist with reviewing/underwriting single-asset commercial real estate debt investments, including mezzanine, preferred equity, bridge, and senior loan positions
  • Private Credit – Non-Direct Lending, Single Asset (ABF, Aviation, Niche Strategies)
    • Assist in sourcing and underwriting investment firms who show single asset deals to the firm
    • Support underwriting of asset-based finance transactions, aircraft and equipment finance, and other specialty single-asset credit opportunities
  • Third-Party Fund Investments & Co-Investments
    • Assist in sourcing and underwriting third party alternative investment managers and co-investments
    • Conduct due diligence on alternative fund managers across private equity, private credit, private real estate, private infrastructure, and hedge fund strategies
    • Support underwriting of co-investment opportunities
  • Supporting Process & Research
    • Prepare Investment Committee and Green Light Committee materials, including memos, models, and presentation decks
    • Synthesize market research and third-party data (e.g., PitchBook, Preqin, CoStar, NAREIT) into concise internal briefings
    • Identify opportunities to streamline recurring analyst and investment team workflows using AI-assisted tools, templates, and automation, and help build durable processes the broader team can reuse

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience that includes material analyst responsibilities at any buy or sell side firm within at least two of the following areas: private credit, real estate debt, co-investments, and/or third party manager selection
  • Excellent written communication; comfortable drafting memos for an Investment Committee audience
  • Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to improve day-to-day investment workflows; candidates who can speak to specific examples preferred
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple threads at once and knows when to escalate open questions rather than guess
