We are hiring our first Senior Associate of Corporate Development to help Zeelo decide where and how to grow next. You will evaluate acquisition opportunities, build the case for entering new markets and segments, and turn those analyses into recommendations and business plans the leadership team and board can act on.

You will report to our VP of Finance and work directly with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team. This is a hands-on role: you will build the models, run the research, and manage deal processes yourself, with room to grow the function as Zeelo scales.

This role will work out of our Downtown Boston office.

What you will do:

• Size and prioritize new geographic markets, customer segments and service lines, using market data, customer insight and our own program economics.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of potential acquisition targets, manage current capital providers and support future financing needs (debt & equity).
• Build valuation models and deal structures, and prepare investment cases for leadership and board review.
• Coordinate due diligence across Finance, Operations, Product and Engineering, and external advisors such as legal counsel and accountants.
• Plan post-close integration with the teams who will own the acquired business, and track results against the original investment case.
• Analyze competitors and industry trends in employee commuting, school transportation and mobility more broadly.
• Contribute to Zeelo's annual and multi-year strategic plans with the Finance team and Senior Leadership Team.
• Prepare strategy materials for board meetings and investor updates.
• Take on high-priority strategic or commercial projects for the CEO and VP of Finance as they arise.

Who you are:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or corporate development at a growth-stage company.
• Direct involvement in M&A transactions, from target screening through diligence and close.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• Experience sizing markets and building business cases from incomplete data.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including turning complex analysis into recommendations for senior leaders and boards.
• Comfort working independently with limited structure.
• Naturally curious with a strong problem solving mentality.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or a related field.

Nice to have:

• Experience in transportation, logistics, mobility or tech-enabled services.
• Experience integrating an acquired business after close.
• Exposure to international teams, particularly across the US and UK.

Salary Range: $130,000 to $180,000 OTE, DOE
