About the role
- We are seeking a dedicated and innovative International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons that align with the IB PYP framework, fostering a love for learning, and nurturing the intellectual and emotional development of young students.
What you'll do
- Curriculum Implementation: Develop and deliver inquiry-based lessons that are aligned with the IB PYP framework, focusing on transdisciplinary themes and fostering critical thinking skills.
- Student Engagement: Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and a love for learning.
- Assessment and Reporting: Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, provide feedback, and report to parents and guardians.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and implement the curriculum, share best practices, and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a respectful, safe, and orderly classroom environment that supports student learning and positive behavior.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Embrace and celebrate diversity, promoting global awareness and intercultural understanding among students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Teaching certification/license.
- Experience in teaching within the IB PYP framework is preferred.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and student-centered teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
