Position Overview
Caribbean Global Charter School is seeking an experienced and visionary K–12 School Principal to lead our academic community. The Principal will serve as the instructional and operational leader of the school, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment for all students.
This role is central to maintaining a strong partnership and alignment with the Puerto Rico Department of Education, acting as a key liaison and ensuring all regulatory, academic, and operational standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & School Management
- Provide strategic leadership for all K–12 grade levels, ensuring coherence and excellence across the academic program
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes respect, equity, and high expectations
- Develop and implement school-wide goals aligned with the mission and vision of Caribbean Global Charter School
Instructional Leadership
- Supervise and support teachers and instructional staff through coaching, evaluation, and professional development
- Ensure the implementation of a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
- Use data-driven practices to improve student achievement and close learning gaps
Partnership & Compliance
- Serve as the primary liaison and alliance between the Puerto Rico Department of Education and Caribbean Global Charter School
- Ensure compliance with all local, territorial, and federal education requirements
- Maintain transparent communication with government agencies, stakeholders, and the school community
Operations & Administration
- Oversee daily school operations, including budgeting, staffing, and scheduling
- Ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained campus environment
- Lead crisis management and emergency preparedness efforts
Family & Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and community partners
- Promote active parent involvement and community collaboration
- Represent the school in public forums and educational initiatives
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (required) or Doctorate (preferred) in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
- Valid school leadership certification/licensure (as required by Puerto Rico regulations)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership (K–12 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional best practices, and student assessment
- Experience working within or in partnership with public education systems or charter school environments
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish and English) strongly preferred
