About the Role
We're seeking a talented Technical Recruiter to build our world-class engineering team as we scale the world's best horticultural robotics company. You'll be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring exceptional talent across highly specialized roles including Robotics Engineers, Computer Vision Engineers, Controls Engineers, and other deep-tech positions.
As our Technical Recruiter, you'll partner directly with our founders and engineering leadership to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into successful hires. This role requires someone who can credibly engage with robotics and AI engineers, build authentic relationships, and sell our compelling vision of transforming global food production.

What You'll Do
Strategic Talent Acquisition
- Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand technical requirements for roles spanning robotics, computer vision, controls, and AI/ML
- Develop sourcing strategies tailored to each role, identifying where top robotics and deep-tech talent congregates
- Build talent pipelines for critical recurring roles, maintaining relationships with passive candidates for future opportunities
- Map talent markets in key locations, understanding compensation benchmarks and competitive landscapes
Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Source exceptional candidates through creative channels including GitHub, research publications, robotics conferences, and university programs
- Conduct initial technical screens to assess candidates' capabilities and cultural fit
- Coordinate complex interview processes including technical assessments, system design discussions, and cultural interviews
- Partner with hiring managers to make compelling offers and close top candidates
- Manage candidate experience from first contact through onboarding, ensuring a world-class process
Technical Assessment & Evaluation
- Understand technical concepts sufficiently to evaluate resumes and have credible conversations about ROS2, C++, computer vision, and control systems
- Design assessment strategies that effectively evaluate technical skills while respecting candidates' time
- Calibrate with engineering teams to ensure consistent evaluation standards across interviewers
- Provide detailed feedback to both candidates and hiring teams throughout the process
Employer Branding & Outreach
- Represent Eternal at technical conferences, university career fairs, and robotics meetups
- Create compelling content showcasing our technology, culture, and mission to attract top talent
- Build relationships with university professors, research labs, and technical communities
- Manage our presence on technical hiring platforms and engineering job boards
Process Optimization
- Implement recruiting best practices while adapting to our unique deep-tech context
- Track and analyze metrics including time-to-hire, source effectiveness, and candidate conversion rates
- Continuously improve processes based on candidate and hiring manager feedback
- Leverage recruiting tools and AI to enhance efficiency without sacrificing personal touch
Qualifications
Core Requirements
- 3+ years of technical recruiting experience, with proven success hiring for engineering roles
- Deep understanding of technical roles and ability to evaluate engineering backgrounds
- Experience recruiting for at least one of: robotics, embedded systems, computer vision, or AI/ML roles
- Strong communication skills to engage with both highly technical candidates and business stakeholders
- Data-driven approach to recruiting with experience using ATS systems and analytics
- Builder mentality - comfortable creating processes and strategies from scratch
Technical Understanding
- Ability to discuss technical concepts like:
- Programming languages (C++, Python)
- Robotics frameworks (ROS/ROS2)
- Computer vision and machine learning concepts
- Control systems and embedded programming
- Familiarity with technical assessment methods
- Understanding of open source contributions and technical portfolios
