Position Overview  


Eurasia Group is seeking a Senior Analyst, Trade and Supply Chains, to join our esteemed Trade and Supply Chain team in London (or Washington DC). The ideal candidate will possess 6-9 years of experience with a significant focus on transatlantic trade, export control coordination, and European trade negotiations. This role requires a motivated self-starter with a strong understanding of global trade policy, especially pertaining to Europe's trade relationships. 



Key Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the deputy co-manager of the Trade and Supply Chain team, assisting in team leadership and management. 
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and provide insightful client briefings on transatlantic trade and international export controls. 
  • Engage in strategic coordination of European trade negotiations and address human rights and environmental impacts within supply chains. 
  • Monitor and analyze Europe’s trade dynamics, particularly the relationships with China and European-based partners. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Europe, China, US, Geoeconomics, and other specialist groups, to maintain a comprehensive view of global trade policy developments. 
  • Serve as a principal client point of contact for European-based clients, providing expert guidance and insights on trade research. 
  • Develop and present written content on trade topics, ensuring high-quality analysis and reporting. 
  • Provide substitute coverage for the Practice Head, Jon Lang, in meetings as necessary. 
  • Engage proactively in client-facing settings, enhancing relationships with corporate clients across a broad range of sectors, including technology, environmental, and energy. 

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications 

  • 6-9 years of experience in international trade analysis, preferably in a client-facing setting like think tanks or advisory roles. 
  • Proven track record in transatlantic trade policy analysis and export control coordination. 
  • Experience with European trade negotiations and awareness of Europe’s strategic trade relationships, notably with China. 
  • Demonstrable interest and understanding of human rights and environmental considerations in supply chains. 
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to engage hands-on in various tasks. 
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to produce high-quality analyses and briefings. 
  • A JD in trade law is an advantage but not essential; relevant experience is prioritized. 


Candidates must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom or the United States.

The pay range for this role is:

90,000 - 135,000 USD per year (Washington DC)
