Position Overview: Analyst, Southeast Asia (Indonesia Focus) 


We are currently seeking an experienced Associate or Analyst with a specialization in Southeast Asia, particularly with a strong focus on Indonesian political and economic affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on key political developments in Indonesia, as well as assessing their impact on the business and investment climate. This role demands a professional with exceptional communication skills and a robust of contacts within Indonesia's government, think tanks, academia, and private sectors. The role will be remote, based in Indonesia.  

 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct thorough analysis of Indonesian political dynamics and deliver concise, insightful reports. 
  • Communicate complex political developments in a clear and accessible manner to clients through written products and verbal briefings. 
  • Provide strategic advice on the implications of regional events for client investments and business operations. 
  • Create and manage bespoke projects and products to meet the specific intelligence needs of corporate clients. 
  • Build and maintain a strong network of contacts within relevant Indonesian institutions and private sector entities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all deliverables align with the company's standards of excellence. 

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Must be fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English. 
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in Indonesian government, think tanks, academia, or the private sector. 
  • Proven track record in writing succinct, high-quality reports in English. 
  • Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in a related field. 
  • A deep understanding of the political environment in Indonesia, with additional experience in key sectors considered a significant asset. 
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the capacity to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights. 
  • Ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. 


This role will be a remote position in Indonesia. You should be authorized to work in Indonesia to apply.
