Position Overview


Eurasia Group is seeking a motivated Researcher to join its Global Sustainability, Biodiversity & Water Practice, focusing on the intersection of sustainability, policy, and geopolitics.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree and have experience in relevant research positions, showcasing expertise in analyzing sustainability-related risks and opportunities across various geographies and sectors.

We require a candidate who is comfortable with a fast-moving, changing, small-company environment; someone who can deal with ambiguity and a lack of formal structures. We need someone who is low-ego, a team player, and someone who focuses on solving problems.

The Researcher would be based out of Eurasia Group’s office in the UK (London).


Responsibilities


In this position, you will:

  • conduct in-depth research on country and regional political risks associated with sustainability issues, with a dedicated focus on biodiversity, water, and plastics policy. 
  • analyze sector-specific policies related to environmental issues, providing insights into the political factors that influence policymaking and market-driven dynamics. 
  • support in drafting both succinct, forward-looking analyses, and in-depth reports for clients. 
  • adhere to tight deadlines and write in a clear, business-oriented fashion.  


Qualifications


The ideal candidate should:  

  • have a deep interest and knowledge of sustainability-related regulatory efforts. 
  • have a Bachelor degree in political science, environmental policy, or other relevant discipline.  
  • have excellent analytical and presentation (oral and written) skills.  
  • have 1-2 years of work experience (incl. internships), conducting research on environmental policy.
  • you should be authorized to work in the UK.
