Position Overview:


We are seeking a dynamic and organized Consumer and Retail Business Development Associate to join our Consumer and Retail (C&R) team in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This role is pivotal in pursuing commercial opportunities that span across sales, client service, advisory research, events, and media. The ideal candidate will be adept at learning quickly about Eurasia Group’s business, thinking creatively to construct commercial proposals and pitches, and managing internal processes to support our growth efforts. Success in this role will be measured by the annual growth percentage of recurrent and non-recurrent contracts.

 

 

Responsibilities:


Support in Building Commercial Opportunities:

  • Draft discussion documents, client emails, and related materials to propose new business opportunities
  • Conduct research on the global competitive environment to support growth efforts and broader business strategy
  • Maintain and update business development records within Salesforce
  • Utilize CRM and project management tools such as Salesforce and Monday.com
  • Draft proposals for clients and prospects
  • Provide ongoing support to client and prospect relationships, including scheduling calls, trips, and managing contract
  • Assist in developing and implementing the overall BD C&R and Corps-Regional strategies
  • Support the planning and execution of events targeting clients and prospects
  • Participate in identifying and planning external speaking engagements aligned with business development goals

 

Client Relationship Management:

  • Manage client interactions and communications
  • Assist with client project management task
  • Conduct research on topics related to current events, international relations, global affairs, and policy that may impact clients
  • Maintain and update client records within Salesforce
  • Support in monitoring and evaluating the status of the largest clients

 

Business Acumen and Communication:


  • Build a robust understanding of public affairs, strategic communications, external engagements, business, and finance
  • Understand the ecosystem in which Eurasia Group competes for business and identify key nodes for client engagements (e.g., global events, leading non-profit initiatives, business conferences)
  • Develop strong writing, speaking, and presentation skills to deliver compelling arguments and engage with clients effectively


Collaboration and Organizational Skills:

  • Work independently while effectively collaborating with various teams within Eurasia Group
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to efficiently handle tasks and manage various projects
  • Exhibit proficiency in using project management tools (e.g., Salesforce, Monday.com) and presentation/data tools (e.g., Macro Excel, PowerPoint)

 

Qualifications:

  • Possess acumen with a background in business or finance, with experience in establishing significant commercial relationships
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Exhibit strong fundamental job skills, including excellent writing and analytical abilities
  • Showcase superior organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Possess a passion for work, a sense of humor, and an ability to harmonize with a unique and vibrant company culture
