Position Overview:  

Eurasia Group is seeking a Business Director. This person will be responsible for engaging with corporate clients across different industries, helping Eurasia Group expand its unique political risk analysis platform at the intersection of finance and geopolitics. This role will be located in São Paulo, Brazil. 

 

Responsibilities for the Director role include: 


Closes New Business:

  • Leads business development for new opportunities in relevant sectors/asset class/organizational functions.
  • Actively generates independent leads.
  • Follows-up on proposals/pitches aggressively.
  • Always looks for and pushes upsell opportunities.
  • Pitches C-Suite comfortably and effectively.
  • Closes contracts in a timely process.


Performs Client Management and Development:

  • Builds significant relationships across client portfolio.
  • Plays a leadership role in client meetings and adds value to dialogues.
  • Independently manages major client accounts.
  • Drives strategic use of EG research products and services across the client firm.
  • Effectively and efficiently manages deliverables within a set scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Maintains high client retention, sometimes in difficult client environments.

Innovates and Provides Leadership:

  • Displays deep knowledge of the firm's research calls, capabilities, and offering.
  • Can easily adapt offering to fit client needs and win business.
  • Liaises and leverages effectively with research platform in creation and marketing of products/services.

Skills required:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Collaborative spirit 
  • Demonstrate professionalism, problem-solving, teamwork skills, confidentiality, discretion, reliability, and diplomacy. 
  • Agility and flexibility in response to changing priorities and needs 
  • Work as a facilitator
  • Graduate degree in International Relations, Management, Public Policy, Economics or Finance 
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate strategy or business development
  • Experience in government or institutional relations is a plus. Prior roles could be at regulatory agencies, government affairs departments, or policy advocacy groups
