Job Overview:
As the Project Manager, you'll report to the Procurement and Commercialization Manager and collaborate with internal stakeholders from different departments. Your role involves ensuring the successful completion of projects and overseeing the strategic project framework for new brand initiatives.
To excel, you'll need to be a proactive problem solver, adept at managing team dynamics, communicating effectively, mitigating risks, and ensuring project deliverables meet deadlines. Your contribution is crucial for providing clarity and momentum to drive key brand initiatives forward in a timely and cohesive manner.
Location: New York City (hybrid)
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 + bonus
Responsibilities:
- Project Management of all product launches to support the brand’s new and/or changed products, packaging, promotional launches, overseeing and/or facilitating all phases of the development life cycle
- Facilitate in defining the project scope, goals, and deliverables Develop and manage customized project plans and timelines
- Collaborate with and help drive the seamless flow of communication between cross-functional teams to control project changes, minimize risks, and keep the team accountable for their deliverables
- Assess project risks and process opportunities to initiate action plans as necessary
- Resolve all timeline issues and negotiate with impacted departments to develop tactical risk mitigation plans to bring the projects back on track
- Lead weekly meetings with cross-functional teams and external vendor partners, highlighting status, risks, and deadlines
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Contribute to the development of best practices and standard work
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Supply Chain, or a related field (PMP or equivalent project management certification a plus)
- 4+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably within beauty, haircare, wellness, or personal care industries
- Advanced proficiency in project management tools and workflow systems, with demonstrated ability to implement and optimize PM best practices
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, including formulation, packaging development, regulatory considerations, production timelines
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate trade-offs effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting project updates and timelines to leadership teams
