Job Overview:

As a Quality-Associate Manager, you will be leading the Quality function at Eva NYC. You will be responsible for creating, implementing, and upholding internal and external processes, strategies, and quality standards to ensure our products are produced consistently, with high quality, and meet consumer expectations. You will have an intimate role in conducting investigations and audits, analyzing and reporting data/trends, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external 3rd party contract manufacturers, and maintaining respective documentation and records, while adhering to brand and retailer quality. This position will report directly to the Director of Product Development and requires strong attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of quality processes and requirements.

Salary: $85,000 + bonus


Responsibilities:


Supplier Quality Management System

  • Develop a global supplier quality management system.
  • Adopt a Targeted Supplier Management approach as tiered supplier quality management to assess, rate, improve, and exit with focus.
  • With the business needs on a strong global supplier pool, establish a supplier qualification process.
  • Develop and track key quality performance indicators (KPIs) on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Conduct supplier qualification audits, performance evaluations, and scorecard tracking.
  • Travel to and onboard new suppliers as needed.
  • Ensure all suppliers are well aware and trained on respective brand requirements, and verify through daily management
  • Supplier Quality Partnerships: Collaborates with Supplier Quality (SQ) teams to reduce supplier DPM, working toward meeting established quality and compliance targets.
  • Supplier Risk and Compliance Management: Facilitate risk analysis, production control, Non-Conformance/Root Cause/CAPA activities, and audit readiness to ensure compliance with GMP's and quality standards.

Product Quality Management

  • Establish quality standards and procedures for all key processes relating to the manufacturing of Eva NYC products and supplier quality management with 3rd party contract manufacturers.
  • Lead all quality aspects during new product development discussions with component suppliers and 3rd party contract manufacturers.
  • Lead and drive resolution of marketed product quality related incidents with various functions through effective CAPA. Collaborate with Product Development, Packaging, Operations, and Manufacturing teams to investigate and resolve quality issues, customer complaints, non-conformances and deviations.
  • Review financial and operational data related to customer complaints and NCRs; identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Work directly with vendors to document and enhance process controls to prevent recurring issues.
  • Support the regulatory team on adverse event investigations, recall procedures, and external lab testing coordination.
  • Participate in regulatory compliance efforts, including support for US FDA Cosmetic GMPs, MoCRA, and ISO 22716 requirements.
  • Drive product and process performance, focusing on continuous improvement and alignment with quality assurance programs.
  • Continuous Improvement and Accountability: Promotes a culture of quality ownership across the organization, encouraging employees to prioritize quality in their roles and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Warehouse and Ecommerce teams to define and track key shipment metrics and optimizations
  • Prepare quality documentation and executive reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends on product complaints.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams on SOP creation / implementation / training.


Other

  • Maintain accurate and organized quality documentation using tools or platforms such as Sharepoint, Box, Excel, Word, Asana, Yogi, SAP or NetSuite, Access, and other applicable systems.
  • Support the training and onboarding of team members to uphold SOP or quality standard compliance and QA expectations.
  • Attend and contribute to warranty review meetings, supplier calls, and internal cross-functional discussions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably within the cosmetics or similar industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
  • Practical knowledge of quality systems and standards, including US FDA Cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practices (including emerging MoCRA GMP requirements) and international standards like ISO 22716.
  • Hands-on experience with quality inspection protocols, cosmetic evaluation criteria, and yield/defect metrics in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to strategize, execute, and refine continuous improvement initiatives and other quality processes.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading root cause investigations, CAPA development, and customer complaint resolution.
