K-12 Marketing Lead, Online Events

The Online Events Lead drives brand awareness, course activation, and educator retention through engaging virtual content for educators both in and out of Everfi’s network. The Lead is responsible for managing the overall content strategy, developing and engaging the educator community, and nurturing contacts through various channels to build a culture of ongoing learning, innovation, and support amongst this group and to reinforce Everfi’s brand in the K-12 marketplace. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop webinar ideas and execute their production to generate leads, engage in network educators, and onboard new teachers. This includes but is not limited to: managing website and registration, staffing, preparing slide deck and pre-webinar marketing, following up with post-webinar activities, facilitating conversation during webinar and managing on-demand webinar library.  
  • Plan and execute the yearly LearnOn conference, including, lining up speakers (internal and external), developing content and schedule, creating a theme (visual and written, with Corporate Marketing), coordinating back-end technical set up, hosting as needed, coordinating with the sales team for sponsors, liaising with vendors, and post-event reporting and lead nurtures. 
  • Own the back-end administration of all online events (corporate and K-12) via the Goldcast platform.  
  • Collaborate with the broader marketing team (both corporate and K-12) to ensure that each piece of webinar content is being used to the fullest extent possible, for example, putting webinar clips into blogs, pulling quotes from panelists to include in emails and/or collateral, reviewing upcoming content to ensure the greater team can plan around the topic areas, etc. 
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, topics of interest, and relevant educational mandates through independent research and via communication with the implementation team.  
  • Engage with the educator community to build relationships, understand needs, and source speakers for online events.  
  • Partner with the email marketing team to effectively plan email invites for upcoming online events. Provide language for the team to communicate the topics of the webinars, indicate the products being promoted, and outline the audiences that should be included in the invites.  
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of individual webinars and the channel as a whole against goals, including generation and conversion of leads. 
  • Other job-related duties as assigned. 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 4 years of experience in marketing, community engagement, account management or content development, including 3 years of experience in the K-12 space, education field or as an educator; 7 years preferred 
  • Experience developing and presenting engaging webinar content  
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, manage, and execute projects within budget and on schedule 
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, along with strong storytelling skills 
  • Excellent collaboration skills; team player who effectively works cross-functionally and excels at building relationships 
  • Self-motivated, creative, and strong problem solver 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to balance multiple tasks and shifting priorities 
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
