Brokerage Operations Associate

Who We Are

Evergreen Wealth is led by fintech pioneer, Bill Harris. He ran TurboTax, was CEO of PayPal, and founded Personal Capital, which grew to a $25 billion investment firm. Our mission is to help high-earning, affluent investors attain their financial goals through personalized and tax-efficient investment strategies. As a fee-only fiduciary, we use purpose-built technology to create personalized portfolio solutions while providing responsive advice that meets our clients where they are.

We're a dynamic, early-stage RIA reimagining investment management and financial advice. Our team has deep industry experience across several of the industry's most disruptive companies over the past two decades. Today, our team is committed to leading the next evolution of financial advice - an era focused on net-of-tax results and personalized, responsive financial advice. We believe in two closely held principles: (1) Our clients deserve tailored, actionable advice when they want it (not on some predetermined schedule by us) and (2) It's not about what you earn, it's about what you keep!

About the role

The Brokerage Operations Associate will be instrumental in building and optimizing our operational infrastructure as we scale and in approaching Brokerage Operations differently. We're looking for a Series 65 licensed professional who’s passionate about building highly automated, AI-enhanced operational infrastructure. You’ll play a critical role in designing systems that allow Evergreen to scale—where every task is questioned: can this be automated?
This is not a traditional ops role. You’ll be a builder, creating processes that are hands-free, data-driven, and intelligently self-correcting, working alongside product and engineering teams to reinvent operations.

What you'll do

  • Design and execute brokerage operations with near-zero human intervention—from trade settlement to position reconciliation—through intelligent automation.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to build AI-driven workflows, automating exception handling, compliance checks, and data syncing across platforms.
  • Identify repetitive tasks and replace them with system logic, bots, or algorithms to eliminate manual effort.
  • Collaborate with the Tax and Advisory Services teams to build real-time, automated tax-aware workflows that adapt to client-specific data.
  • Act as the operational architect behind new product and process launches, defining how automation will drive them from day one.
  • Lead the integration and oversight of third-party custodians and brokerage platforms, ensuring seamless, machine-led execution.
  • Use data, not anecdotes, to continuously refine systems—analyze operational trends, identify bottlenecks, and build feedback loops for self-improvement.
  • Ensure all automated processes are regulatory-compliant by design, in partnership with our Compliance team.
  • Own the documentation and monitoring of all automations, surfacing anomalies for intelligent intervention, not routine review.

Qualifications

  • Series 65 license (required)
  • 4+ years in brokerage operations within an RIA, fintech, or tech-forward wealth firm
  • Experience with custodial integrations, trade execution, and ACATs, preferably in an API-driven environment
  • Mindset focused on first-principles thinking and automation—you automate before you delegate
  • Familiarity with process automation tools and scripting languages (SQL, Python a plus)
  • Strong understanding of data workflows, reconciliation logic, and exception handling
  • Experience with portfolio management systems and trading tools
  • Bonus: Experience in Tax Operations or with AI-enhanced decision engines
  • Obsessive about detail, but allergic to busywork—you want systems that run themselves
  • Comfortable operating independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, product-driven culture
