Position Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Total Rewards/People Operations Generalist to support a range of HR functions, with a primary focus on payroll and benefits administration. This role plays an essential part in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of our internal people processes and overall employee experience.


Key responsibilities include assisting with payroll processing, managing benefit enrollments and changes, maintaining accurate employee records, and supporting critical HR workflows such as onboarding, offboarding, and compliance tracking. The role also involves responding to employee inquiries with professionalism and discretion, as well as contributing to internal documentation and process improvements.

Job Duties


Payroll & Benefits (Core Focus)

  • Support accurate and timely payroll processing, including data entry, audits, and issue resolution
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions about payroll and benefits
  • Assist with benefits compliance and reporting, including ACA, COBRA, and ERISA requirements
  • Support open enrollment and annual benefits communications


HR Operations

  • Maintain up-to-date employee records in Rippling and other systems
  • Own and improve People Ops processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Generate and maintain regular HR metrics reports (headcount, turnover, PTO, etc.)


Employee Support

  • Provide responsive and confidential support to employees across a range of HR-related topics
  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Commissions, Contracting, and IT to streamline internal processes
  • Contribute to internal documentation and help center resources to support self-service

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in payroll or benefits administration required
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or a related function preferred
  • Experience working with Rippling or a similar HRIS (Rippling strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements preferred
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive data with the highest level of discretion and integrity


Bonus Points

  • Experience supporting multi-state and/or remote teams
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced startup or scaling organization
  • Interest in process automation, HR technology, or systems improvement
