The Ideal Senior Affiliate Manager

  • Deeply familiar with affiliate and performance-based media campaigns, ideally in insurance, health, or financial services
  • Enjoys being “in the trenches” optimizing campaigns, negotiating deals, and improving partner performance
  • Excellent communicator who builds trust with partners and internal teams alike
  • Strong attention to detail, able to spot performance anomalies, compliance issues, and margin trends quickly
  • Accountable, curious, and structured—operates with ownership and clarity
  • Wants to work on a team that values speed, performance, and teamwork over bureaucracy

Key responsibilities


Campaign & Partnership Ownership

  • Manage day-to-day performance of a portfolio of affiliate partners and traffic sources
  • Onboard, negotiate, and scale new partnerships—both exclusive and shared
  • Monitor campaign metrics (CPL, EPC, conversion rate, scrub, etc.) and take proactive steps to optimize performance
  • Collaborate with tech and compliance teams to ensure campaigns are set up correctly (postbacks, UTM structure, S2S tracking, DNC compliance)
  • Guard against fraud, lead quality issues, and traffic mismatches using tools like Everflow, Anura, and Jornaya

Optimization & Strategy

  • Identify high-ROI growth opportunities within current partner ecosystem
  • Proactively recommend new offer tests, traffic splits, or routing changes
  • Analyze funnel data to identify drop-offs, revenue leaks, or missed opportunities
  • Align partner incentives with company margin goals and quality metrics

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with media buying, analytics, sales, and compliance teams to drive results
  • Collaborate with dev/tech teams to troubleshoot issues and propose new tooling
  • Partner with affiliate leads and the VP to improve campaign SOPs, reporting frameworks, and QA workflows

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in affiliate marketing, partner development, or performance media
  • Hands-on experience managing high-volume campaigns, ideally in regulated verticals (insurance​ or finance)
  • Strong working knowledge of affiliate platforms like Everflow, Impact, or CAKE
  • Analytical thinker with comfort in KPIs, margin metrics, and ROI optimization
  • Familiar with lead validation systems (e.g., Anura, ActiveProspect, MediaAlpha)
  • Structured communicator, comfortable in meetings with internal teams and partners

  • Reports to: VP of Affiliate Marketing
  • Direct reports: None

Compensation mix

  • Fixed base salary

102,500 - 134,900 USD per year (Remote (United States))
