Position Description

FlexGen is currently searching for an Applications Engineer to partner with our business development group and our technical support team to support the project development, pre-sale and engineering services in energy storage. The right individual will take ownership on technical pre-sale topics and coordinate with software and system engineering teams for our energy storage platform. This person will also provide expertise and guidance for the energy storage systems (ESS) guidance and power systems.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the ESS preliminary design, system guidance, and power system analysis
  • Interface with ESS customer as BESS technology provider to support on the system design, 
    interconnection support and market analysis
  • Assist with strategic opportunity identification with business development group
  • Be a part of the estimation process for all ESS projects
  • Support the contract process from negotiation to definitive contract

Position Requirements:

  • An associate' degree in engineering or similar experience
  • A relevant certificate or license is advantageous
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Excellent active listening and customer service skills
  • The ability to deal with multiple requests without being overwhelmed
  • The ability to remain professional under pressure
  • The ability to pass a background and toxicology screen
