Position Description:

We are looking for a Sales Director to build Lifecycle Solutions for our Customers’ Battery Energy Management Systems in North America. As a Sales Director at FlexGen, you will be in the front seat to create customized solutions with our customers to support the lifecycle of their BESS installations, negotiate terms and conditions and execute agreements, in a unique role that combines flexibility, strategic thinking, team leading and contract negotiation.


Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead sales for our Customers’ BESS lifecycle from proposal to contract execution
  • Expert in agreement negotiation to ensure a Long-Term Service Agreement is attached to all FlexGen Customers, including developers, utilities and industrial companies
  • Work side by side with our Operations, Application Engineering, Legal and Procurement teams to negotiate the commercial and technical aspects of a contract and close deals
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of FlexGen’s battery solutions including key performance requirements to create solutions that best fit our customers’ needs
  • Lead product and proposal presentations and assist our customers with commercial and technical requests
  • Ensure Customer experience by traveling to meet our customers for business presentations and negotiations
  • Participate in conferences and promote FlexGen Lifecycle Solutions
  • Ensure a comprehensive handover of all commercial and technical aspects of the project to our Lifecycle Services Team to ensure smooth operations

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or engineering
  • 5+ years building customized solutions for Customers
  • Deep understanding of lifecycle solutions in the Energy Storage sector, including a demonstrated success winning of million-dollar contracts
  • Extensive experience with contracts including legal, commercial and technical terms and conditions, strong negotiating capabilities and high-level communication skills with C-Level
  • Comfortable leading a project, setting objectives, embarking your team members to reach a common goal and challenging your own ideas
  • Ability to “think on your feet” during a negotiation or challenging situation
  • Flexibility to travel extensively
