Position Description:

FlexGen is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team to maintain forecasting models, perform analysis, and partner across teams to improve data accuracy and financial visibility. The ideal candidate is sharp, detail-oriented, and structured in how they work


Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update forecasting models across the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and core operating metrics
  • Assist in preparing monthly reporting packages, including variance and fluctuation analysis
  • Support the maintenance of FlexGen’s financial data structure, partnering with Accounting, Operations, and Sales to ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Refresh and maintain dashboards used for executive reporting
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting, including preparing schedules, gathering inputs, and updating templates
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and provide decision support for leadership and cross‑functional teams
  • Contribute to process documentation and support automation initiatives led by senior members of the FP&A team


Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or similar analytical roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial modeling concepts
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule from Durham, NC HQ
  • Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or automation tools
  • Strong curiosity, willingness to learn, and interest in growing within an FP&A team
