Role Overview:

As an EZ Texting Associate Operations Analyst, you will work with our Messaging Operations team in solving some of our more complex customer, vendor and messaging-related activities. The primary objective of EZ Texting’s Messaging Operations team is to ensure high quality of service on our messaging and voice products. This role will work across the organization to ensure stakeholder satisfaction with various aspects of our messaging operations, including but not limited to, delivery of messages, provisioning of phone numbers, and analyses of traffic patterns. You will rely heavily on problem-solving and data analysis skills as our team seeks to iteratively improve our messaging performance, edge-equipment stability, and quality of service.


To be successful in this role, you will need to combine a deep understanding of the greater messaging landscape and current trends in the messaging ecosystem. You will exercise a high degree of autonomy, leveraging your best judgment to proactively mitigate risk to the business while supporting the company’s aggressive growth objectives.


Business messaging is a growing landscape. As a self-service platform, EZ Texting users may be unaware of underlying challenges to the delivery of their messages. Our role in messaging operations is to proactively look for patterns of delays, non-delivery, and poor performance across our many messaging paths. The ideal candidate must be able to connect the dots across disparate data points, troubleshoot, investigate, and use great judgment while providing detailed guidance and recommendations. You will develop processes, automation, and guardrails that others will follow to ensure business continuity and ease of use for good customers.


This role will primarily be staffed during core business hours, Monday through Friday, with the potential need to support outage events during the evenings and weekends.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support underlying messaging infrastructure and pipe configuration to ensure optimal uptime, deliverability, and data transmission/mapping.

  • Proactively identify service-impacting problems at the correct aggregation level and escalate evidence of issues to vendors to ensure an optimal and speedy resolution with appropriate urgency.

  • Investigate root cause of delivery failures, identify vendor responsible, escalate and resolve with vendor and be able to effectively communicate back to the Customer Support team so that customers understand and are satisfied with the conclusion

  • Reactively work with our Tier 2 Customer Support team on vendor-related customer escalations that require remediation.

  • Identify processes in need of optimization or automation. Use programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Elasticsearch querying to complete automation tasks.

  • Partner cross-functionally with other departments on company-wide messaging initiatives.

  • Identify and resolve problems using approved guideline interpretation.

  • Analyze data and create measurable metrics related to messaging operations to obtain objectives and key results.

  • Work with vendors to solve issues, such as content incorrectly blocked as spam, and argue cases in favor for our customers.

  • Read, investigate, and interpret deliverability reports.

  • Text enable numbers when necessary.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • You have the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • You have excellent time management and organizational skills and are comfortable working under pressure.

  • You have demonstrated the ability to proactively identify and launch process improvements that have a significant, positive business impact.

  • You effectively work and contribute in a team environment.


What We Offer

Compensation: The starting cash compensation range for this role is $50,000 - $110,000, inclusive of Base Salary + Variable Target, vs base salary only. This position is also eligible for equity & benefits. More information will be shared regarding your specific location during the hiring process.

Our compensation market ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum cash compensation target for new hire compensation for this position based in the US. Exact individual pay is determined by actual location, skills, capabilities and experience in addition to our benchmarking factors.
