We are seeking an experienced physician Medical Director to join our clinical team and lead our clinical work in supporting a suite of telemedicine asynchronous visit protocols and an expanding suite of clinical services. As Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our clinical protocols, ensuring adherence to best clinical practices, and overseeing the clinical aspects of other parts of the organization. Reporting directly to our Chief Medical Officer and working closely with senior leadership, you will collaborate with our matrixed team across divisions to optimize our clinical offerings and drive the growth of our expanding telemedicine services.
What you'll do
Lead the clinical team made up of informaticists and nurse informaticists in researching, developing and maintaining our Virtual Care suite of clinical protocols.
Provide clinical leadership and guidance to our broader organization, including working directly with customers to build new protocols and new strategy, participating in sales meetings, and answering clinical questions that arise from our customers.
Present data and facilitate discussions as a clinical leader in our bimonthly Clinical Quality Advisory Council meetings.
Service as the co-chair and organizer of the semi-annual Patient Safety Review Committee
Stay abreast of advancements in telemedicine, virtual care technologies, and healthcare regulations to drive and maintain innovation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations to optimize the user experience and enhance clinical workflows throughout our suite of telehealth solutions.
Periodically conduct research projects and serve as a clinical expert during presentations made both within the company and at nationally held conferences.
Participate in strategic planning initiatives and contribute to the overall growth and success of Fabric.
Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., internal medicine, family medicine, emergency medicine).
Active medical license and in good standing in at least one state within the United States (additional state licenses preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with significant experience in telemedicine, virtual care delivery, AI, or informatics preferred.
Demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare, with a track record of developing and implementing clinical protocols.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret relevant clinical data and drive data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
