Senior People Operations Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior People Operations Specialist to lead key functions within Compliance & Benefits Management, Employee Relations & Engagement, and Employee Lifecycle Management. This role will be crucial in ensuring legal compliance, enhancing employee engagement, and supporting the overall employee experience across the organization. You will report to the VP of People Operations and collaborate closely with the People team and leadership to execute HR processes that align with our culture and strategic goals.


Areas of Focus for this Role:

Compliance:

  • Implement, monitor, and update company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with company culture. 

  • Act as the initial point of contact for our US-based workforce.  Familiarity with non-exempt and exempt workforces is key for success in this role, with a strong emphasis on FMLA/Reasonable Accommodations for our non-exempt workforce.

Benefits Management:

  • Oversee and manage benefits administration, ensuring employees understand and utilize available programs.  

  • Stay informed on benefits trends and offerings to ensure we remain competitive and meet Company and employee needs.

  • Serve as the initial point of contact with our third-party benefit and payroll providers, including but not limited to the PEO and 401(K) platforms.

  • Maintain third-party platforms and serve as a point of contact for their upkeep and relative questions. 

Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring thorough understanding, and prompt resolution of issues with a focus on fairness and inclusion.

  • Develop and implement initiatives to foster employee engagement, promote a positive work environment, and retain top talent.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to organize employee engagement events and activities, contributing to a cohesive company culture.

Employee Lifecycle Management:

  • Support day-to-day HR operations including employee data management, leave of absence tracking, and maintenance of employee files.

  • Lead process improvements for key HR operations to ensure efficiency and compliance throughout the employee lifecycle.

  • Extract and analyze employee-related data. 

Performance Management & Talent Development:

  • Assist in the development and execution of performance management programs, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development plans.

  • Support learning and development initiatives to help employees grow in their roles and align with the company’s talent development strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years (minimum) of experience in Human Resources / People Operations, with a strong focus on compliance, employee relations, and benefits management. Knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations.

  • Experience in fast-growing or start-up environments is a plus.
  • Experience in employee engagement and relations, with proven ability to resolve conflicts and enhance employee satisfaction.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR certifications are preferred.

  • Experience working with PEOs and third-party providers is a plus.


The expected pay range for this role is: $95,000 - $115,000 USD per year.
