Position Overview
Falcon Wealth Planning is seeking an experienced Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) to join our advisory team.
This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial planning, portfolio guidance, and strategic wealth advice to clients. The CFP will work directly with individuals and families to develop customized financial plans, oversee investment strategies, and guide clients through complex financial decisions.
The ideal candidate is a client-focused advisor who is passionate about financial planning, highly analytical, and committed to acting as a true fiduciary.
This position offers the opportunity to build and grow a client base within a collaborative team environment, supported by Falcon’s operations, planning, and investment infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities


Comprehensive Financial Planning
Develop and implement customized financial plans addressing retirement planning, investment strategy, tax efficiency, estate considerations, insurance planning, and cash flow management.
Conduct in-depth financial reviews and develop actionable strategies aligned with client goals and time horizons.
Monitor progress toward financial goals and proactively recommend adjustments when circumstances or market conditions change.
Utilize financial planning tools and analysis to deliver sophisticated, client-focused recommendations.
Investment Strategy and Portfolio Guidance
Provide investment advice and portfolio oversight aligned with client risk tolerance and financial objectives.
Collaborate with the firm’s investment team regarding asset allocation, portfolio construction, and rebalancing strategies.
Monitor portfolios and recommend changes when necessary to maintain alignment with client financial plans.
Client Relationship Management
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining long-term relationships built on trust, transparency, and consistent communication.
Lead client meetings and financial reviews, providing clear guidance on planning strategies and investment decisions.
Respond promptly to client questions and provide proactive advice as financial needs evolve.
Client Education
Simplify complex financial concepts and empower clients through education and clear communication.
Help clients understand the reasoning behind financial strategies and investment decisions.
Guide clients through major financial milestones such as retirement, liquidity events, and estate planning considerations.
Tax and Retirement Planning
Advise clients on retirement savings strategies, tax-advantaged accounts, and retirement income planning.
Provide guidance on tax-efficient investment strategies and distribution planning.
Assist clients with Social Security planning, required minimum distribution strategies, and long-term tax considerations.
Collaboration and Growth
Work closely with Falcon’s relationship managers, operations team, and investment professionals to deliver seamless client service.
Support the onboarding of new clients through financial analysis and planning development.
Contribute to the continued growth of the firm through client service excellence and relationship development.


Qualifications


Certification Requirement
Candidates must hold an active Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation and remain in good standing with the CFP Board. Applicants who do not currently hold the CFP® certification will not be considered for this role.
Experience
3+ years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or advisory services.
Experience providing comprehensive planning for high-net-worth individuals and families preferred.
Strong background in investment management and financial strategy development.
Skills and Competencies
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
Client-focused mindset with a commitment to fiduciary responsibility.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
Ongoing professional development within financial planning and wealth management.
