About the Job:
We are looking for a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance Team. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex accounting activities across our U.S. headquarters and Philippine entities based in Davao and Bacolod.
The primary focus of this position is to stabilize, streamline, and standardize the Fixed Asset (FA) process, which currently requires significant enhancement. Once the FA process has been fully optimized, the Senior Accountant will expand their scope to include broader responsibilities in financial reporting, accounting operations, tax compliance, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to support the organization’s continued growth and operational excellence.
What You'll Do:
Immediate Priority – Fixed Asset (FA) Process
- Lead the end-to-end Fixed Asset (FA) process across all entities, ensuring accurate capitalization, tagging, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Standardize and document FA procedures, including asset additions, disposals, transfers, buyouts, depreciation runs, and month-end reporting.
- Drive the successful implementation and optimization of the FA Module in Acumatica, ensuring seamless system integration and accuracy.
- Collaborate with IT and Operations teams to establish and maintain effective controls over asset storage, movement, and tagging.
- Support internal and external audits by providing comprehensive schedules, reconciliations, and analyses related to fixed assets.
Post-FA Stabilization – Broader Accounting Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Assist in the preparation, review, and consolidation of monthly and annual financial statements across U.S., Davao, and Bacolod entities.
- Conduct detailed P&L and balance sheet variance analyses to identify key trends, risks, and performance drivers.
- Ensure proper consolidation and application of revenue recognition standards relevant to BPO operations.
- Develop and present management reports and financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain accurate account reconciliations and schedules in full compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Accounting Operations
- Support day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger management, accounts payable, accruals, and fixed assets, while coordinating with related functions such as accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness across multiple entities.
- Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances between U.S. and Philippine entities, ensuring accuracy and alignment.
Tax, Audit & Compliance
- Support the Head of Finance, Controller, and Tax Accountant in addressing tax-related matters, including reconciliations, compliance filings, and responses to Letters of Authority (LOAs).
- Assist in preparing audit deliverables and ensure timely submission of supporting documentation, schedules, and reconciliations.
- Uphold compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and local regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
Process Improvements
- Drive automation and digitization initiatives to enhance accounting workflows, reporting efficiency, and data integrity.
- Document, implement, and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures to strengthen governance and support cross-training.
- Leverage financial systems and tools—particularly Acumatica—to optimize the closing process and improve reporting accuracy.
Collaboration & Leadership Support
- Partner with cross-functional and leadership teams to provide timely financial insights, analyses, and operational support.
- Mentor and support accounting team members, fostering collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong communication and alignment with U.S. and Philippine counterparts to ensure consistency in reporting and analysis.
- Lead and manage ad hoc financial projects, reports, and management requests as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
