Team Lead, Business Development Representative

FieldPulse is a fun, dedicated, and growing team that is building modern applications for small home service businesses (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, specialty contractors, etc.) to help organize and run their business operations. 

As the BDR Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in driving our business growth by leading and motivating a team of BDRs. You will be responsible for overseeing both inbound and outbound lead generation strategies, ensuring that our sales pipeline is always full and high-quality. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in B2B SaaS sales, and a proven track record of success in both inbound and outbound business development.

What You'll Do: 

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs), helping them achieve and exceed their goals.
  • Develop and execute inbound and outbound lead generation strategies to drive high-quality leads and build a robust pipeline.
  • Monitor daily activities and performance of the BDR team, providing coaching and feedback to optimize productivity and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to align on messaging, campaign strategies, and sales targets.
  • Analyze team performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet or exceed KPIs, including lead generation, conversion rates, and sales pipeline contribution.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development to BDRs, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and knowledge to succeed.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our SaaS product offerings and customer pain points to effectively coach the team in delivering relevant, impactful messaging.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and competitive landscape to ensure the team is effectively targeting and engaging with the right prospects.
  • Report on team performance, pipeline health, and lead generation efforts to senior leadership.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-energy team culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, accountability, and success.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 3+ years of experience in business development or sales, with a strong focus on B2B SaaS sales.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in leading or managing a BDR team, with a proven ability to drive performance and exceed targets.
  • Experience in both inbound and outbound sales strategies and tactics.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS products and solutions, with the ability to effectively communicate value propositions.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing lead generation campaigns and driving pipeline growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • A positive, hands-on attitude with a passion for helping others succeed.
  • Previous experience working with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar.
  • Familiarity with sales automation and prospecting tool
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup or growth-stage SaaS environment.
