Founding Product Manager

Background

Debt capital powers the growth of companies across all industries. When debt capital functions more efficiently, everyone wins.

The financial sector has benefitted from a surge in innovative technologies the past few years, yet debt capital management remains a time-consuming, manual, and error-prone task. It’s why over 90% of our business team brings experience from financial services.

Finley is an all-in-one debt capital management platform that streamlines lender-borrower relationships. We’re built upon the digitization of credit agreements, which contain the details and rules of debt financing transactions. By turning legalese into business logic, Finley is able to automate required reporting, track compliance, calculate interest & fees, and produce real time performance & risk dashboards.

Finley’s software helps everyone in the debt capital ecosystem, from corporate borrowers and issuers to credit funds and banks. We’re backed by CRV, Bain Capital Ventures and Y Combinator.

The Role

We’re looking for a senior Product Manager to join as our founding PM hire, reporting directly to our CTO, Kevin Suh. You’ll play a foundational role in shaping Finley’s product strategy, roadmap, and development process — defining how product is built and scaled across the company.

This is a strategic, high-impact individual contributor role with a high degree of autonomy. You’ll partner closely with our CTO, CEO, go-to-market teams, and customers to identify the most important problems we should be solving — then guide the end-to-end process to deliver high-quality solutions.

While you’ll be involved across the full product lifecycle, you won’t be micromanaging tickets or QAing every last detail. We’ve built a culture of ownership and self-managing engineering teams. Your energy will go toward shaping what we build, when and how we build it, and why it matters.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own the full product lifecycle—from discovery and definition through delivery, launch, and iteration.
  • Collaborate with the CTO, CEO, GTM teams, and customers to co-develop product strategy and align roadmap priorities with company goals.
  • Become an expert in debt capital management to translate complex workflows and regulatory requirements into intuitive, effective product experiences.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, and operations to drive momentum, clarity, and results.
  • Continuously seek feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to improve and iterate on our offering.

Your Experience

  • 6+ years of product management experience, preferably in B2B SaaS or B2B Fintech.
  • A strong track record of leading complex, zero-to-one product initiatives with full ownership.
  • Clear, structured communication skills—you can align cross-functional stakeholders and enterprise customers around priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Ability to thrive in a lean, high-trust environment and operate independently as an IC while closely collaborating with leadership.
  • Strong systems thinking and an eye for detail in crafting end-to-end product experiences.
  • Experience at an early-stage startup is a plus, but not required.

We're Looking For

  • Business partners: You understand every detail of a customer’s workflows and capital markets operations, owning all aspects of the implementation experience.
  • Problem-solvers: You focus on delivering outcomes by identifying opportunities for automation and training customers to maximize product usage and company revenue.
  • Collaborators: You love collaborating with Engineering, Design and go-to-market teams. You stay intellectually honest, challenge others without ego, and believe that the best solutions only emerge when everyone brings their perspective to the table.
  • Systems thinkers: You enjoy the complexity of designing for a range of stakeholders (think borrowers, lenders, and banks) and source systems. You get excited about designing for the long term.
  • Team-builders: You look forward to helping recruit, train, and mentor a team of professionals at Finley.

The pay range for this role is:

175,000 - 205,000 USD per year (Depending on Experience)
