POSITION: VP of Strategy and Growth

First Service Bank, honored as one of Arkansas’ Best Places to Work for six consecutive years (2020–2025), is seeking a dynamic VP of Strategy and Growth to lead our mortgage division into its next chapter of expansion, innovation, and operational excellence.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a passion for shaping the future of mortgage banking operations—recruiting and mentoring top-tier talent, optimizing processes, and strengthening our presence in key markets like Conway and Maumelle. You’ll also play a pivotal role in aligning mortgage with retail banking, enhancing cross-selling strategies, and contributing to long-term succession planning for Specialty Banking. This is more than a leadership role, it’s a chance to make a lasting impact on our organization, our customers, and the communities we serve. This position is open to candidates located near any First Service Bank branch and offers the ability to work from the branch closest to them within a 30-mile radius.

• Lead and grow a cohesive, high-performing mortgage team
• Drive expansion into strategic markets and increase loan production
• Improve operational workflows and vendor/investor relationships
• Foster collaboration between mortgage and retail banking teams
• Represent the bank in the community and support enterprise-wide initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred. 

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive banking experience, with at least 5 years in mortgage lending leadership. 

• Proven ability to recruit, train, and retain high-performing loan officers and support staff. 

• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, compliance requirements, and secondary market practices. 

• Experience negotiating with investors and vendors to improve pricing and profitability. 

• Demonstrated success in developing and executing cross-sell strategies and branch partnerships. 
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills. 
• Ability to analyze performance data and implement process improvements. 
• Community involvement and business development skills strongly preferred.
