Key Responsibilities:

  • Market new and renewal commercial insurance policies to insurance carriers to secure competitive quotes and coverage options.
  • Build and maintain relationships with underwriters and insurance carriers to negotiate terms and rates.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to assess client needs and develop customized insurance solutions for businesses.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and complete applications for new business and renewals.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with carriers to obtain responses and address any issues or concerns.
  • Review policy terms and conditions to ensure they align with client expectations and requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support to the sales team and clients throughout the policy lifecycle.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, insurance products, and regulatory changes.
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote the brokerage’s commercial insurance offerings.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance knowledge of commercial insurance products, industry best practices, and new market opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) license required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial insurance marketing or brokering.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products (property, liability, commercial auto, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and clients.
  • Proficiency in insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
