About the Role

Providing all students with a seamless experience requires a thoughtful and meticulous approach to operations. The Operations Coordinator will play a role in the ongoing success of our students across all of Flatiron’s consumer, university, and enterprise programs. This role will focus on maintaining processes that support students through the program, from enrollment through finding a job. This includes managing student records and systems, interacting directly with students, and making sure staff have the materials they need to support students at every part of the student journey.

This is a very collaborative, cross-functional role. You’ll be working with students and staff from all other Flatiron departments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide organization for multiple academic programs, by creating and actively managing rosters, calendars, communication lists, data trackers, surveys, and more.
  • Manage data collection and documentation procedures, ensuring the integrity of our reporting, and properly communicating student progress with the relevant team members.
  • Engage with students and graduates on a variety of requests, including systems troubleshooting, policy questions, and document requests.
  • Assist with the launch of new projects, systems, and processes.
  • Regularly audit data and ensure 100% accuracy in manual tasks.
  • Onboard and offboard incoming and outgoing staff members to internal tools and systems.
  • Create and troubleshoot a variety of tracking lists, schedules, and dashboards in Google Sheets and Looker.
  • Write and maintain detailed documentation on processes to be carried out by the Operations team and by other teams.
  • Create, maintain, and improve processes that support our teams in providing the best possible experience for our students.
  • Properly communicate student progress with the relevant team members.
  • Respond to incoming support tickets from staff and students in a timely and helpful manner.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the rest of the Operations team and to other teams across the company.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flawless organization skills and strong attention to detail, with exceptional follow-through.
  • Must be a fast and adaptable learner.
  • Strong experience and passion for working with complex data in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets. Creation and maintenance of documents for different audiences with different needs.
  • Can skillfully manage, prioritize, and complete multiple projects with competing priorities at once while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a diverse and cross-functional team in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and look for the root of an issue rather than the quick fix.
  • Not required, but nice to have -- experience in any of the following platforms: Slack, Discord, Jira, Looker, Formstack, Monday.com.

Expected Compensation:

  • $25/hour

Expected Duration:

  • 10-12 hours/week
  • 8-10 weeks

The pay range for this role is:
